Liam Fox says EU to coordinate UK response to Trump tariffs

“We don’t wish to see a multiplication between a member states or their companies on this issue.”

Under EU rules, a European Commission conducts trade process for a 28 member bloc, yet a UK will be withdrawal that confederation in only over a year. 

Mr Fox on Monday pronounced a UK would be operative with a European Commission to delineate a “measured and proportionate” response, that could embody duties on a US, putting in place guarantee measures to strengthen a European marketplace from a call of imports due to a tariffs and holding a brawl to a World Trade Organisation.

He did, however, highlight that a “close co-operation between a UK and a US” was critical to general assent and security,  given a clever counterclaim and confidence co-operation attribute between a two.
