Help for Needy Football Retirees

To a Editor:

Re “Football Players Deserve to Retire With Dignity,” by Jim Brown, a former using behind for a Cleveland Browns (Sunday Review, Dec. 8):

Having been compared with a National Football League and a San Francisco 49ers in sold for some-more than 33 years, we am now saying players we counseled as immature athletes returning on Alumni Day any season. Too many of them are in bad figure medically, financially and psychologically.

The 49ers classification has stepped adult in many cases and supposing help, quite in predicament cases, though this has been in response to what are radically a misfortune symptoms of a most deeper and some-more pervasive problem: a miss of joining and a disaster by a N.F.L. and a players kinship to respond to support a players who contributed so most to building a joining into what it is today.

I mount with my crony Jim Brown and a many former players who languish and humour from resources entirely within a visual capacities of a players kinship and a joining they helped toward fulfilment of a stream greatness.

I petition Commissioner Roger Goodell; a executive executive of a players union, DeMaurice Smith; and a 32 group owners to make a right call: Let this 100-year decoration of a pro diversion also symbol a year that those flourishing players from a past accept a medical and grant advantages they have warranted and so properly deserve.
