Florida killer becomes third chairman executed in U.S. in 24 hours

According to a CNN report, a Florida male became a third chairman to be executed in a U.S. in a past 24 hours on Wednesday night.

Sixty-three-year-old John Ruthell Henry was put to genocide during a Florida State Prison in Starke. He killed his mother and her son in Dec 1985.

A Missouri male was also executed on Wednesday. John Winfield was put to genocide for murdering dual women in 1996.

Fifty-nine-year-old Marcus Wellons was executed on Tuesday. Wellons raped and killed 15-year-old India Roberts in 1993.

The 3 executions were a initial given a botched execution of Clayton Lockett in April. CBS reports that jail officials in Oklahoma stopped Lockett’s execution after watching that a fatal injection drugs weren’t being administered into his capillary correctly. The convicted torpedo died of a heart conflict shortly after.

According to CBS, 9 executions have been stayed or deferred given a botched Oklahoma execution.

The Death Penalty Information Center notes that as of Jun. 18, 2014, there have been 1,381 executions in a U.S. given 1976. Texas leads a U.S. in executions with 515. Oklahoma is in second with 111 executions and Virginia is in third with 110.
