Fliers face moody woes Saturday as winter charge heads north

Air travelers faced another day of delays and cancellations Saturday as an early-season winter charge changed from a South toward a Northeast. All large airlines were waiving changes for flights to a series of destinations opposite a East.

Nationwide, scarcely 860 flights had been canceled and another 4,600 behind as of 7:45 p.m. ET, according to flight-tracking use FlightAware.

With that total, about one out of each 5 flights in Atlanta had been canceled for Saturday. On Friday, scarcely 1,200 flights there were canceled — are some-more than 40% of a schedule.

The Atlanta disruptions were quite heavy for Delta Air Lines, that operates a busiest heart during a airport.
