Baker Mayfield stays behind as Sooners revisit Disneyland

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield was ill and did not accompany a group on a revisit to Disneyland’s California Adventure Park on Wednesday. But manager Lincoln Riley pronounced he wasn’t disturbed about his Heisman Trophy winner’s absence.

“He’ll be prepared to play,” Riley said.

The No. 2-ranked Sooners arrived in southern California on Tuesday and worked out Wednesday morning in allege of Monday’s diversion opposite No. 3 Georgia in a Rose Bowl Game Presented by Northwestern Mutual. Mayfield was shown participating in a examination in a print tweeted by a Sooners’ central account.

Both teams visited a thesis park Wednesday as partial of a festivities in allege of a diversion and are set to resume use Thursday.
