Alaska Airlines reports 'unauthorized take-off' during SeaTac airfield in Washington state

A newcomer craft crashed on an island in Puget Sound on Friday night, not prolonged after a think conducted an “unauthorized take-off” from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Washington state, officials said.

Preliminary information says a “mechanic” stole a Horizon Air Q400 and a pile-up occurred since a chairman was “doing stunts in atmosphere or miss of drifting skills,” a Pierce County Sheriff’s Department pronounced on Twitter.

The unapproved commander was described by a Pierce County Sheriff’s Department as a “suicidal male.” Some unconfirmed reports on amicable media pronounced he was believed to be an airline mechanic.

“Male is reliable a suicidal male. Acted alone he is 29 year aged Pierce county chateau . We are operative behind belligerent on him now,” a sheriff’s dialect tweeted shortly before 10 p.m. Pacific time.

Around 9:15 p.m. PDT, Alaska Airlines tweeted: “We are wakeful of an occurrence involving an unapproved take-off of a Horizon Air Q400. We trust there are no passengers on board. More information as we learn more.”

Early reports indicated a think was vocalization to atmosphere trade controllers. 

The Federal Aviation Administration released a summary shortly after a take-off:

“We can’t endorse anything during this time. We’re perplexing to get accurate information about what is indeed going on. Without confirming anything, a stolen aircraft would be a confidence issue.

“The FAA is not a confidence agency, nonetheless we work closely with other supervision agencies on confidence issues.”

Authorities reportedly attempted to prevent a craft with an F-15 aircraft. 

The U.S. Coast Guard was promulgation a 45-foot vessel to a pile-up stage after witnesses reported saying a vast plume of fume in a air, Petty Officer Ali Flockerzi said.

Horizon Air is partial of Alaska Air Group and flies shorter routes via a U.S. West. The Q400 ix a turboprop aircraft with 76 seats.
